Since 1990, our goal at Meeting Solutions has been to make life easier for busy meeting planners. We do all the research and leg work, in addition to supervising the countless behind-the-scene details, to ensure that your meeting will be successful. We are committed to providing a value-added, informative service that is pleasant, enjoyable and stress-free, resulting in your perfect meeting solution.

Our team brings a combined experience of over 110 years of hotel and meeting planning experience to this purpose. While we are detail oriented, methodical and timely, we also have a great capacity for creativity and fun.

DAN FIELD founded Meeting Solutions Inc. in 1990 after working fourteen years in sales and marketing for three major hotel corporations, and as a meetings consultant for a small firm.  Dan’s hotel experience ranged from management trainee to supervising preparations for VIP guests, including negotiating and directing meetings for clients including IBM, Yahoo!, PG&E and Houghton Mifflin. Dan's hotel experience provided him with a thorough understanding of hotel operations and a sensitivity to client needs that he has applied throughout his career.

As president and founder of Meeting Solutions, Dan has set and maintained a standard of honest communications, timeliness, cost effectiveness and client satisfaction, and clients return to Meeting Solutions year after year to ensure that their meetings are the best they can be.

Jodi HayesJODI HAYES joined Meeting Solutions, Inc. in 2004 bringing over 23+ years experience with hotels in Monterey and Carmel. Jodi offers a unique approach to meeting planning and on-site management with combined expertise in Sales, Catering and Hotel Operations.

Jodi began with BayView Hotels as a General Manager Trainee, learning all aspects of hotel operations from engineering to front office and banquets. She held several positions including Banquet Manager, Catering Director and Director of Sales and Catering.

Attention to detail, from both the hotel and the client's point of view, provides Jodi a unique opportunity to negotiate the best deals possible and the insight to organize an ideal meeting, conference or event.

Holly Dodds
joined Meeting Solutions, Inc. in 2008 with over 23+ years in the hotel industry. Holly spent the last nine years in sales with Hyatt Hotels and Resorts and prior to that worked extensively in sales, convention services, banquets and the front office for various independent hotels.

Her diverse client base from financial, high tech and pharmaceutical includes Abbott Laboratories, Motorola, Google and Bain & Co. and brings an understanding of many industries which in turn brings a confidence to her clients that their meeting needs are being met.

To match her hotel sales and operations background, Holly has experience in many types and styles of hotels as well. From convention hotels to resort properties and boutique hotels her well-rounded knowledge and experience allows her to bring the best possible opportunities to her clients.

Holly Dodds
brings over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry to Meeting Solutions. Maggie has worked for Marriott, Hyatt and Sheraton hotels in positions from Front Desk Manager to Acting General Manager. She knows hotels inside and out. It was as Director of Sales and Marketing at these hotels and resorts that Maggie gained the knowledge and understanding of how hotels set rates, negotiate contracts and handle meetings and events.

Maggie more recently became the Director of Sales and Marketing of the Monterey Convention Authority and Conference Center where she worked closely with groups of all sizes and types, assessed their needs and made sure their experiences were positive. She has worked with city-wide conventions, executive board meetings and everything in between.

Maggie earned the Convention Industry Council's esteemed designation of Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) in 2009, after extensive coursework in meeting management.

Maggie's experience in hotel and resort sales and marketing as well as convention services, gives her a broad perspective of the hospitality industry. She makes it her personal objective to give her clients the best choices, the best values and the best outcomes possible.
